Hilton Head Day 8
Friday, my alter ego, Hank, came out to play. It had been a long time since Hank was around, but my fellow vacationers requested it so I figured I should oblige. You might wonder what special circumstances cause Hank to appear. It is quite simple typically. Give me a few Gin and Tonics and let the fun begin. The events of Friday are quite foggy, but I will do my best to recount them.

We went to Casey’s to watch the Red Sox game and have dinner. There is where Gin and Tonics were imbibed (remember kids, beer before liquor, never sicker, liquor before beer, you’re in the clear). Our friend who will remain nameless zoned in on not one, not two, but three bachelorette parties. However, Hank wanted to leave to go to the lodge. So, at some point, Hank declare that we were leaving. Our nameless friend stayed behind to try his luck with the bachelorette parties.

When we got to the Lodge, Craig and I played some very sloppy pool. Unexpectedly, our new friends from PC class of 2003 appeared. Unfortunately, the rest of the night had to be explained to me. I remember giving one of the girls my business card, I remember talking to another girl, however, I have no idea what the conversations consisted of. But, all-in-all, Hank did his thing, he went home and passed out at about 2am.

Hilton Head Day 7
Day 7 consisted of an early morning/afternoon at the beach, watching Eurotrip on DVD, and back to Wild Wings for some wings and beer. The evening was pretty tame. I met a few PC grads at the bar. I felt old, however. They graduated in 2003! We headed back to the condo at about 1am.

Hilton Head Day 6
Day 6's weather was not as nice as the others so we decided to go catch a movie. Then we played a round of mini-golf. The rest of the evening was relaxing as we played cards, ate pizza, and had a few beers. It was a nice off day in the middle of the week to ensure a strong finish to the vacation.

Hilton Head Day 5
Much of day 5 was a recovery day for me. I overdid it a bit the night before so I stayed in the condo and relaxed for much of the day. Later that evening, we headed back to Casey's to watch the game. The Red Sox won, which was good, and the bar became very busy with a lot of locals, which was also good. We hung out a few of the locals for most of the night, but our friend (who will remain nameless) had other ideas. Apparently, last year he met a group of more "mature" women who's company he enjoyed. These women were back in the Head as were we and as hard as we tried to stop him from making any contact with these nice, motherly women, he just couldn't help himself. Just so you can visualize these ladies, they aren't the type who you want to bring home to mom. Chances are, they might be older than your mom! In the end, it was harmless as usual. They left, we stayed for a little while longer. We got back to the condo around 1am.

Hilton Head Day 4
An absolutely fabulous day in the Head yesterday. It started off by going on a guided fishing trip. The hightlight of which was Craig catching a 75lb Lemon Shark and Mike catching a 150lb Sting Ray. The rest of us did OK pulling in 30 to 40 lb black tip sharks. The guide experienced a few firsts on this trip. First, something was able to snap a 10 ft steel leader and 50lb test line. He assumes the tail of a large shark actual cut the line beyond the leader. The second, while unhooking the Sting Ray, it gave birth to a baby Sting Ray. It was wild.

Last night we got dinner at a great restaurant called Marley's. Then we went to a bar called Hinchy's. Both were excellent and a good time was had by all.

Ladies and gents, we have found a cure for beer goggles. They are called Eyemuffs. There is a patent pending.

Hilton Head Day 3
Day 3 in "the Head" was nice an relaxing. I slept in, read, and watched a thunder storm roll through from our porch. We had dinner at a place called O'Reilly's which was not so good. Then we went to a bar called the Lodge. Nice bar, but it was pretty dead. We turned in early in preparation for Monday's salt water fishing trip off the coast of Hilton Head.

Hilton Head Day 2
Day 2 was a little more tame than day 1. I suppose that is to be expected. The day consisted of a trip to Walmart for beach supplies, walking on the beach, hitting a bucket of golf balls at the driving range, and an evening of beers and wings at the Wild Wing Cafe.

The beach was great. The water temperature is about 80 degrees. Perfect for a swim.

The Wild Wing Cafe is a fun place. The wings are the best that I have had. They also have live music and a DJ that help to keep the place entertaining.

All-in-all, day two was good. We stayed busy throughout the day and also had a fun time in the evening.
