Why hath my body forsaken me? I used to be able to go out and drink beers three to five times per week and have no problem functioning like a normal person the next day. Now, all I can do is bitch about my hangover on my blog.
The following are the contributing factors of my downfall:
- Drinking Real Beer. Newcastle tastes too good not to have multiple pints.
- Paying the tab and getting ready to leave until a couple more friends show up to get "one" drink.
- When the "one" drink turns into three or four additional drinks
- Not enough sleep. When I woke up this morning at 5am and could not fall back to sleep, I knew my day was going to be miserable
Ugh... is it time to go home yet?

Ramblings
This morning the Yankees and Tampa Bay Devil Rays opened the 2004 baseball season in Japan. I am happy to report that the Yankees got slammed by the D-Rays! It is also reported that Paul Quantrill had to leave the game after injuring his knee when he ran into A-Rod. Although, it is doubtful that this is a serious injury, is this a harbinger of things to come for the geriatric Yanks? Let's hope so!
The Red Sox are also not the healthiest baseball team. With Nomar out for probably a few games and Trot Nixon out into May, where will the punch in this line-up come from? I think Manny and David Ortiz are going to have big years. Manny will compete for a batting title and knock in 120 runs. Ortiz is going to hit 30 - 35 hr and knock in 100. The question is will the rest of the line-up pull together like they did last year? Let's just hope Nomar's and Trot's injuries do not effect the entire season.
Ryan Gomes, PC's first team All-American, has said that he will leave if he is confident that he will be drafted in the top 20 in this year's NBA draft. If that is the case, I don't blame him. Getting a guaranteed contract can set him up for life. I just hope that if he does make the decision to leave, that he is drafted in the top twenty or at least in the first round. The selfish side of me hopes that he will return to Providence for his senior season. PC will be a powerhouse next year with him back.
Regardless of Gomes' return, I think PC will be a solid team next year. Hopefully DeSean White will be the real deal and fill in nicely if Gomes decides to leave.
I am giddy with anticipation of this weekend's Red Sox opener. Hopefully the Sox can start of with a win.
