I read an interesting article this morning about a Japanese baseball player in the Indians farm system who was banished baseball in Japan for acting in a Gay porn movie. He has officially come clean and admitted his role in the film stating that is was a "mistake". He also wanted to make it very clear that he IS NOT GAY.
I could be wrong, but I would think that making the decision to be in a porn movie of any type is something that would be thought through. If he is in fact not gay, it is reasonable to assume that a decision to play a role in a gay porno film would require even more consideration before accepting the gig.
I honestly don't care if he is gay or not. I completely understand why he would play the "I'm not gay" card while playing baseball. It's unfortunate, but he would be run out of the sport if he were to admit to homosexuality. I just find it amusing that this was a mistake.
I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I can defintely say, having a role in a gay porn movie is not one of them.

Finally!
It took beating the fourth ranked team in the country, but PC is finally ranked in the AP (#23) and the Coach's (#24) polls. Thankfully Creighton got bounced out of the top 25 because I did not feel like bitching about that again. Joe Lunardi who is known for his "bracketology" report on ESPN.com declares that it's about time that PC gets the recognition it deserves. He believes perception has aided in keeping Providence out of the polls.
Gonzaga moves up five spots because...
I know that Gonzaga is not Creighton and it technically should not be considered a mid-major anymore. However, how does Gonzaga go from being ranked 15 in the country to 10 in one week? Gonzaga's most recent wins include San Francisco (12 - 9, RPI 118), St. Mary's (12 - 7, RPI 117), and Portland (8 - 10, RPI 143). I'm not saying that these teams are not good teams, but they're not great teams. I question how these victories warrant a five spot jump in the rankings.
Gonzaga has quality wins against Maryland (RPI 28) and Missouri (RPI 50). Is that better than PC's wins against Alabama (RPI 19), Illinois (RPI 53), Virginia (RPI 42), and UCONN (RPI 15)? I'm going to say no. But I digress. Gonzaga has been lucky in the NCAA tournament in recent years and PC has not even been there. Let's hope this year is different for the Friars.
